The story of Eco Beach City on Sumba: building a real place, remotely, one hour from Bali.
What it is about
Sumba is about 400 kilometres east of Bali and receives a tiny fraction of its visitors. On its north coast we are building Eco Beach City: a restaurant, a coworking space with a sea view, padel and tennis courts, a gym, our own water supply and Starlink, already running.
The talk is about building something physical from far away, about remote work making new places possible, and about doing things in the opposite order: services first, people after.
