2. Qué datos tratamos y por qué
Menos de los que te imaginas. Esto es todo:

No hay formulario de suscripción activo, no vendemos datos a nadie, y no elaboramos perfiles de comportamiento.
3. Con qué base legal
- Tu consentimiento cuando dejas un comentario o nos escribes. Lo das al enviarlo y puedes retirarlo cuando quieras.
- Interés legítimo en mantener la web en pie y protegida, que es la base de los registros del servidor y del filtro antispam. Hemos valorado que ese interés no pisa tus derechos, porque son datos técnicos, se guardan poco tiempo y no se usan para perfilarte.
- Obligación legal cuando una norma nos obliga a conservar algo o a responder a una autoridad competente.
4. Quién más ve tus datos
No cedemos tus datos a nadie para que los use por su cuenta. Solo intervienen los proveedores que necesitamos para que la web exista:
- El proveedor de alojamiento. Guarda la base de datos y los registros del servidor. La infraestructura está en la Unión Europea.
- Gravatar, servicio de Automattic Inc. (Estados Unidos). Si dejas un comentario, WordPress envía a Gravatar una huella cifrada de tu correo para buscar tu foto de perfil. No se envía tu correo en claro. Su política está en automattic.com/privacy. Si prefieres que esto no ocurra, no rellenes el campo de correo con una dirección asociada a Gravatar, o escríbenos y lo desactivamos para tu comentario.
- Nuestro proveedor de correo electrónico, si nos escribes.
- Autoridades públicas, solo si una norma o una resolución nos obliga.
5. Transferencias internacionales
Conviene que lo sepas con claridad: la empresa responsable está constituida en Estados Unidos, y Gravatar también es un servicio estadounidense. Eso significa que algunos de tus datos pueden tratarse fuera del Espacio Económico Europeo.
Cuando eso ocurre nos apoyamos en las garantías previstas en el capítulo V del Reglamento (UE) 2016/679, principalmente las cláusulas contractuales tipo aprobadas por la Comisión Europea y, cuando resulta aplicable, el marco de privacidad de datos UE-EE. UU. Puedes pedirnos copia de las garantías aplicables escribiendo al correo de contacto.
6. Cuánto tiempo los guardamos
- Comentarios: mientras el artículo siga publicado, salvo que nos pidas que los borremos.
- Registros del servidor: el plazo técnico del proveedor de alojamiento, normalmente unas semanas, y después se sobrescriben.
- Correos: el tiempo necesario para atender el asunto y, después, el plazo de prescripción de posibles reclamaciones.
7. Tus derechos
Con independencia de dónde estés, atendemos estas peticiones:
- Acceso. Saber qué tenemos sobre ti.
- Rectificación. Corregir lo que esté mal.
- Supresión. Que lo borremos.
- Limitación. Que lo congelemos mientras se resuelve una discrepancia.
- Portabilidad. Que te lo demos en un formato que puedas llevarte.
- Oposición. Que dejemos de tratarlo cuando nos basamos en el interés legítimo.
- Retirar el consentimiento en cualquier momento, sin que eso afecte a lo hecho antes.

Si no te contestamos o no te gusta la respuesta, tienes derecho a reclamar ante la autoridad de control de tu país. En España es la Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es). En el Reino Unido, la Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). Si vives en otro país del Espacio Económico Europeo, ante la autoridad de tu lugar de residencia o de trabajo.
8. Seguridad
La web se sirve íntegramente por HTTPS, el acceso de administración está restringido y el alojamiento aplica sus propias medidas técnicas. Dicho esto, ningún sistema es infalible: si alguna vez ocurriera una brecha que afectase a tus derechos, te lo comunicaríamos y lo notificaríamos a la autoridad competente en los plazos legales.
9. Menores de edad
Esta web no está dirigida a menores de 14 años y no recogemos datos de forma consciente de menores de esa edad. Si detectamos que hemos recibido datos de un menor sin el consentimiento de quien ejerce su patria potestad o tutela, los eliminamos.
10. Decisiones automatizadas
No tomamos decisiones automatizadas que produzcan efectos jurídicos sobre ti, y no hacemos elaboración de perfiles.
11. Cambios en esta política
Si cambiamos algo, cambiamos también la fecha de arriba y dejamos el número de versión. Si el cambio es relevante, por ejemplo porque empecemos a usar analítica, lo avisamos de forma visible en la web antes de aplicarlo.

2. What we process and why
Less than you would expect. This is all of it:

There is no active subscription form, we do not sell data to anyone, and we do not build behavioural profiles.
3. On what legal basis
- Your consent when you leave a comment or write to us. You give it by sending, and you can withdraw it whenever you want.
- Legitimate interest in keeping the site standing and protected, which covers server logs and the spam filter. We have assessed that this interest does not override your rights: the data is technical, kept briefly, and never used to profile you.
- Legal obligation where a rule requires us to retain something or respond to a competent authority.
4. Who else sees your data
We do not hand your data to anyone to use for their own purposes. Only the providers the site needs in order to exist are involved:
- The hosting provider. It holds the database and the server logs. The infrastructure is located in the European Union.
- Gravatar, a service of Automattic Inc. (United States). If you leave a comment, WordPress sends Gravatar a hashed fingerprint of your email to look up your profile picture. Your email is not sent in the clear. Their policy is at automattic.com/privacy. If you would rather this did not happen, do not use an email tied to Gravatar, or write to us and we will disable it for your comment.
- Our email provider, if you write to us.
- Public authorities, only where a rule or a binding decision requires it.
5. International transfers
You should know this plainly: the controlling company is incorporated in the United States, and Gravatar is a US service too. That means some of your data may be processed outside the European Economic Area.
Where that happens we rely on the safeguards in Chapter V of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, principally the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission and, where applicable, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. You can request a copy of the applicable safeguards by writing to the contact address.
6. How long we keep it
- Comments: for as long as the article stays published, unless you ask us to delete them.
- Server logs: the hosting provider’s technical retention period, normally a few weeks, after which they are overwritten.
- Emails: as long as needed to deal with the matter, and then for the limitation period of any possible claim.
7. Your rights
Wherever you are, we handle these requests:
- Access. Find out what we hold about you.
- Rectification. Correct anything that is wrong.
- Erasure. Have it deleted.
- Restriction. Have it frozen while a disagreement is resolved.
- Portability. Receive it in a format you can take elsewhere.
- Objection. Have us stop, where we rely on legitimate interest.
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting what was done before.
Write to carlos@equinoxinvestmentgroup.com saying what you want. We answer within one month. There is no charge.
If we do not answer, or you do not like the answer, you have the right to complain to the supervisory authority in your country. In Spain that is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es). In the United Kingdom, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). Elsewhere in the European Economic Area, the authority where you live or work.
8. Security
The site is served entirely over HTTPS, administrative access is restricted, and the host applies its own technical measures. That said, no system is infallible: if a breach ever affected your rights, we would tell you and notify the competent authority within the legal deadlines.
9. Children
This site is not aimed at children under 14 and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under that age. If we find we have received a child’s data without the consent of whoever holds parental responsibility, we delete it.
10. Automated decisions
We make no automated decisions producing legal effects concerning you, and we carry out no profiling.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change something, we change the date at the top and bump the version number. If the change matters, for instance because we start using analytics, we say so visibly on the site before it takes effect.
