I would like to guide you through the 10 places to visit on the island of Malta, as I have the privilege of living here and would love to share this wonderful experience with you. Without further ado, let's begin the route. PLACES TO VISIT IN MALTA

Sliema Strolling calmly and unhurriedly along Triq it- Torri is priceless, and from that promenade we can look out over the sea as we never have before. Honestly, the views are impressive, pure luxury and a real pleasure for the senses. We can go down to the lower level and feel the aura of the sea as rarely before and, of course, its grand beauty. Another wonderful option is to enjoy a tasty meal in one of its many restaurants while we gaze at the immensity of the sea. Afterwards, if we feel like it, we can wander round the shops of Sliema and its charming, typical little streets.

2. Mdina Walking through Mdina is one of the loveliest experiences I have had. We will delight in its wonderful architecture; absolutely every building is of unrivalled beauty. From its fantastic viewpoint we can see a good part of the island of Malta. I would like to point out the places to visit in this town: St Paul's Cathedral, National Museum of Natural History of Malta, Santa Sofia Palace, Wignacourt Museum, Casa Bernard, etc. What I enjoyed most was strolling through its magnificent little streets, observing and feeling, and to be honest, it rejuvenates the soul. Afterwards, as it is very close by, it is worth wandering around Rabat. I am sure we will find some cosy, very special little corner. And the bravest can visit the catacombs. 3. Valletta At the entrance we will be greeted by the Triton Fountain, where you have to capture the moment. What impressed me most, without a doubt, was walking calmly through Upper Barraka Gardens and taking in its grand panorama over the harbour. If we go down in the lift we will end up in the area of the ocean liners and see them up close, which, truth be told, is quite impressive. In that area an endless variety of restaurants with different types of food awaits us. Let us return to Valletta, where, for book lovers, a magnificent option is to visit the National Library of Malta.https://www.maltalibraries.gov.mt/iguana/www.main.cls?surl=MaltaLibraries It is worth saying that the visit is free and we only need to show our ID. We can walk along its beautiful streets and we are sure to find St John's Co-Cathedral, a true jewel of the Baroque. For shopping centre lovers, in this much-talked-about town they will find one, with a cinema inside. There are also certain streets full of shops, although it is not exactly a cheap place to shop, as the town is very touristy.

4. St Julian's It is a district geared towards nightlife with a great variety of bars and pubs, ideal for a great night out. There we will find the party area par excellence, called Paceville. I won't deny that I have been there the odd night, well, I'll leave it at that. Leaving nightlife behind, I would suggest the following: a calm walk from St Julian's to Gzira, delighting in the beauty of the sea, of course. It is a real treat! 5. Gzira It is a pleasant place to wander the streets, and one idea is to stop to recharge in a small pastizzeria called: Fourt’s. I highly recommend it, as it is great value for money. We can visit Manoel Island; I would suggest a stroll while we enjoy the fabulous views of the island until we reach Ta’ Xbies. Another option is to go to the bar Caseys, on Tuesday and Saturday nights, and enjoy its open mic, a really fun plan! 6. Marsaxlokk As we take a gentle, pleasant stroll we will enjoy the typical Maltese boats. An unbeatable plan is to go on a Sunday and visit the fish market. It is also ideal to find a restaurant and try its delicious seafood. I have been several times and have never regretted it, quite the opposite. 7. Hagar Qim Temples It is a real luxury to appreciate the great architectural beauty of this place and immerse ourselves in its history; we can also visit its museum. On countless occasions we need to visit very ancient places to try to better understand our own times and, of course, the surroundings in which we live. I recommend taking it in calmly and unhurriedly, with a completely open mind. This visit will not easily be forgotten and will stay in our soul for a long time. I think we should not pass up the great opportunity to visit an archaeological treasure of the island of Malta. Don't think about it too much! 8. Birzebbuga If you are asking yourselves what to visit in Malta, here is the answer. We will find the theme park Playmobil Fun Park: a wonderful idea to remember our childhood and introduce our children to the wonderful world of Playmobil. A thoroughly recommended plan for parents and children alike, for an unforgettable day full of hundreds of surprises. As we know, in life it is necessary to play, and here we have a unique, unrivalled opportunity. Who doesn't miss Playmobil, with fantastic invented battles and the pirate ship sailing into forbidden seas? A delight for young and old alike! There is a café to regain lost energy, definitely something to bear in mind. It is a charming and curious park that is close to paradise. 9. Mosta I can vouch that Malta is a very Catholic country: on absolutely every walk we will come across a church. Some are more impressive than others, but the Mosta Rotunda church is one of those that truly impress. It has a cinematic dome, the kind that leaves you open-mouthed. Beauty pours out of all its architecture, and all we can do is lift our heads and take in all its beauty and splendour. It deserves a visit and will not disappoint us.
